Week 12

Changed it up a little this week and had Latin on Monday. But first we did math and then went to the gym.
Stella math- worked on word problems - rate time distance - Stella is getting the hang of it.
Lydia Jane math - Finished Ch. 14, Moved on to Ch 15 - Systems of Equations.
The gym- it was so cold outside today! We worked out mostly legs. I was too lazy to take the 25s off the hip thrust and so we added 45s and moved on. Basically an increase of 50lbs and it was hard!

Creative Writing - Week 10: Maps and Interviews
Today we introduced our assignment for The Shining. Students will do a literary analysis. Alivia helped us out and gave us step by step instructions (printed) and boy am I excited to see how they turn out. So far we have 2 incredible thesis argument ideas and 2 starts of an outline. We are giving 2 weeks to get a rough draft finished. We will likely use all class time for classic lit/ world religions for this paper. So learning more about the Muslim religion will wait.

LJ Math - 15.2 - Solving Systems of Equations with Substitution and review of factoring trinomials and PERT Practice for factoring rational equations with trinomials in numerator and denominator.
Gym -whole body today and LJ learned a kettlebell swing! And S and LJ did treadmill. Finished with heat and ice and LJ got in for a long time! We tried a new leg machine and it was wild and fun. Also Did abs
Lunch and Learn - What Color is Your Parachute - Discovery exercise - Discover your abilities. Well for now we are basically seeing the patterns popping out- Stella is leaning hard towards design and architecture- building design and construction, set design etc and LJ is strongly leaning toward academia, educational consulting, teaching researching etc
Science - we continued our psychology for students a podcast for college students covering concepts from psychology 101. Today we learned about domains in psychology (hint there are 5 main categories). This is definitely still the best podcast for our psychology class.
