Thanksgiving 2025
We didn’t arrive in a big bus all together so tomorrow we drive away in 5 separate vehicles. And I guess Esther will drive and fly.
Victoria and Esther will be the first out the door in the morning. If life goes according to plan they will be up and out by 5:30. Victoria wanted to leave early and Esther’s plane departs at 8. We split the drive on the way up and we had hardly any traffic delays - less than an hour for an 8 hour drive. I doubt seriously we will have such good luck on the way home. Alivia and Kayleigh have it the easiest - one hour or so. The rest of us will be in traffic purgatory all day. Eli will be heading back to Ohio - but not for long - basically they all have finals and then get to come home. And we get Tanner back. It’s a little sad to travel without all of our esteemed companions and we will be happy to have him home again.
Tonight we sat in the tiny living room of this place and chatted about our favorites from this trip. And some of our not favorites.
Highlights included: sitting around the fire, all the food, all the games, the hike, kayaking, ping pong and pinball, the music, the movie, Fred not dying, homework…
I love all of us together. I hate traveling - but man is it a fabulous ploy for getting us all together in one spot.
